Before: copy and paste by hand
  • Finding typos in a long deck or document means highlighting and pasting one page at a time into a chat box
  • It takes time and you still miss things. The author rarely rereads their own work and waits for someone else to check it.
  • Pasting into ChatGPT? You hit the "upload limit reached, please try again later" message after a few tries.
Now: upload the file directly
  • Supports PowerPoint, Word and PDF, automatically split by slide number and section after upload
  • AI finds typos and filler words
  • Each problem shows the exact original text so you can jump straight to the fix

PowerPoint, Word & PDF Typo Checker

An AI typo checker for Office documents, built for work presentations, business proposals and long texts. Upload PowerPoint (PPTX), Word (DOCX) or PDF files directly and all processing runs automatically. No download, no installation.

AI analyzes the document by slide number and section, quickly picking out common homophone typos, missing or redundant words and grammar problems. Each problem shows the original passage and a suggested fix, with a "Copy original" button. Press Ctrl+F in your Office file to find the spot instantly, so you can do a first pass before you submit.

Slide-by-slide PowerPoint proofreading

Keeps slide numbers and title structure, and catches typos on the cover, body text, chart labels and speaker notes. A quick first pass before you present.

Structured checks for long Word and PDF files

For proposals, contracts, academic papers or final reports running to thousands of words, AI helps catch blind-spot typos and obvious grammar problems without chat length limits or messy formatting.

Private, with a personal free quota

Connects with your personal free Google AI Studio API key. Documents are processed on the fly and not stored, and a generous daily quota is available with no monthly subscription.

Who this tool is for
Flexible intensive proofreading scene
No subscription wanted, only short bursts of intensive proofreading

The ChatGPT or Gemini web quota often runs out, but you don't want to pay a monthly subscription for a few days of heavy use.

Apply for a personal API key from Google AI Studio. It includes a monthly free quota, so everyday document proofreading costs almost nothing.

Pre-deadline checking scene
Busy or close to a deadline, and need a first check

When you proofread your own work, visual fatigue often hides homophone typos, missing words and grammar blind spots.

Before you send the deck or print the proposal, let AI do a first sweep for obvious problems and save the time and eyesight of checking line by line.

Long deck structured proofreading scene
Long documents, and you don't want to copy and paste back and forth

Decks of dozens of pages or texts of tens of thousands of words are tedious to paste into a chat box one page at a time, and easy to skip.

The tool keeps slide numbers and section structure. Each issue has a "Copy original" button, so you can press Ctrl+F in Word or PowerPoint to go straight to the fix.

Cross-border proposal proofreading scene
Cross-border and bilingual proposals, to catch mixed-language and missing words

Business decks often mix languages, have inconsistent punctuation, capitalization and unclear meaning, and it's easy to get blind to them after a long look.

Let AI scan sentence flow, punctuation and obvious slips as a first check, and then review by hand more efficiently.

Cross-department review scene
Managers and assistants, one review pass before cross-department reports

When consolidating reports from several teams, writing quality and format vary, so leaders need a check before they review.

Upload the multi-page deck once and get a structured proofreading list that quickly marks filler words and slips, greatly shortening the review.

Thesis and competition review scene
Thesis projects and competitions, rigorous arguments and no detail slips

In research, final reports or startup competition decks, any typo can make judges think the work is unprofessional.

Quickly scan the whole text for typos and filler words before you submit, so you can protect the details and focus on the core argument.

Frequently asked questions
Q1. How do I get a free Google AI Studio API key?

Google offers developers and individuals a free quota for the Gemini models. You can apply online without a credit card:

  1. Go to the Google AI Studio API key page and sign in with your Google account.
  2. Click the "Create API key" button.
  3. Choose an existing Google Cloud project or quickly create a new one. The system immediately generates a key string that starts with AIzaSy.
  4. Copy the key, paste it at the top of this tool, click "Test key" to confirm the connection, and you can start proofreading for free.
Note: The Google AI Studio free tier includes a free request quota per minute (RPM), which is plenty for everyday decks, proposals and document reviews. For details, see Google's official pricing and free-quota page: Google Gemini API pricing (https://ai.google.dev/gemini-api/docs/pricing).
Q2. How secure are my API key and documents? Does the server log them?

No. Here is how keys and files are handled:

  • Keys are not stored on the server: this site has no database and does not keep or log your API key on the host.
  • Encrypted in your browser: if you tick "Remember in this browser", the key is encrypted with the built-in Web Cryptography API (AES-256-GCM) and stored on your computer. It is never kept in plain text.
  • Encrypted in transit: when you upload a document, the key is wrapped in encryption and only forwarded to Google's official API from server memory.
  • Temporary files are deleted right after checking: once parsing and proofreading finish, the server removes temporary files immediately and does not keep the text. To re-check with another model, you need to upload the file again.
Q3. Which file formats are supported? Why are Word files split by unit or section instead of page numbers?

Supported formats are PowerPoint (.pptx), Word (.docx), PDF (.pdf), Excel (.xlsx) and plain text (.txt, .md), with a maximum of 49MB per file:

  • PowerPoint and PDF: PPTX and PDF files have clear slide or page numbers, so the report goes page by page ("Slide X" or "Page X").
  • Word (.docx) pagination: a Word file is essentially a continuous stream of paragraphs and has no fixed page information inside it. Page breaks depend on the viewer's fonts, screen resolution or page margins.
  • Units split by section: to avoid shifting page numbers, the system splits Word files by heading level. Every issue has a "Copy original" button, so you can press Ctrl+F in Word and paste to jump to the fix.
Q4. What are the differences between the Gemini models?
  • Gemini 3.8 Flash (default): the model used by default.
  • Flash series: fast responses and lower resource use.
  • Pro series: flagship models with deep chain-of-thought reasoning, suited to professional contracts, academic papers and long or difficult texts. Responses are slower and use more resources.
  • Gemini 2.5 Flash Light: released in June 2025, fast and the cheapest, but its proofreading quality is weak today.
  • Gemini 2.0 series: retired in July 2026. Google recommends gemini-3.6 or gemini-3.1 instead. For retirement details and official replacement advice, see Gemini deprecations.
Q5. Can I proofread a PowerPoint, Word or PDF file that is password-protected?

Yes. This tool can unlock and proofread password-protected documents:

  • No need to save an unlocked copy by hand: encrypted PowerPoint (.pptx), Word (.docx), PDF (.pdf) and Excel (.xlsx) files can be unlocked without removing the password on your computer first.
  • How to use it: enter the open password in the "Document password" field in the upload area.
  • Privacy: the password is only used to unlock the file in server memory for this request. It is destroyed as soon as the job ends, and neither the password nor the decrypted file is saved.
Disclaimer and terms of use
  • Limits of AI proofreading

Large language models can still make mistakes when judging context. They may miss typos, or flag proper nouns, personal names or stylistic choices as errors.

All suggested fixes are only a first-draft reference. Before finalizing contracts, published materials, official correspondence or academic papers, have a person do the final check.

  • Text extraction and layout differences

If a document has multi-column layouts, non-continuous text boxes, scanned images without OCR, or complex tables, the extracted text order may differ from the visual layout.

Word (.docx) files are split into units by heading level, not by physical printed page numbers. Click "Copy original" and search for it in Word with Ctrl+F to compare.

  • API service and quota

The proofreading core calls the Google Gemini API with the key you provide. Speed and requests-per-minute limits follow Google's official quota policy.

If Google's servers are busy, your quota runs out, or the service is under maintenance, proofreading may be delayed or interrupted.

  • Terms of use and limitation of liability

This tool is a free assistant provided as is.

The developer and this site accept no legal or compensation liability for typos in documents, printing costs, delivery delays or other consequences.
