網站放在 PaaS 第一次被都更就上手
美好的周末，卻接到一封信 OpenShift Online v2 End of Life Announcement，內容大概是這樣
Today we announce the sunset of the previous generation OpenShift Online 2 platform. After September 30th, 2017, Red Hat OpenShift Online 2 (our Free, Bronze, and Silver offerings in v2) will no longer be available.
The next generation of Red Hat OpenShift Online, a cloud-based container platform that enables developers to build, deploy, host, and scale container-based applications, launched Online Starter in May and Pro in July. Thanks to everyone who has already moved on to our new OpenShift 3 based offerings.
If you’re using the previous generation OpenShift Online 2 platform, you can find step-by-step instructions in our Migration Center to help you easily migrate your applications.
If you still have questions about migrating to OpenShift Online Next Generation, current Silver tier users on our OpenShift v2 platform have the benefit of office hours (check your email associated with your Red Hat accounts) while free/bronze users can send their questions via our help center. 「驚喜就是本來用得好好的，現在你要再花時間，為了許多用不到的功能，把東西放到新一代的系統上面再設定過。不然 2017/9/30 之後就跟你的資料和程式說掰掰了。」
「這果然是驚喜呀?!」
OpenShift online 是軟體界 Buzzword 業務話術中潮到出水的雲端三天王(Iaas, Paas, SaaS)之一的 PaaS 型服務。當初看其他部落客介紹說有 1GB 免費主機空間，大概在 2013 年去註冊了一組帳號。
對於當年只會用 cPanel + FTP 上傳下載 + Notepad++ 做網站的我，起初我是覺得這玩意滿 geek 的，因為都是以命令視窗 + GIT PULL & PUSH 操作為主，這幾年用來放一些 demo site 跟小玩具，還有把一些 PHP 開源套裝程式擺在上面，看看新版又出了啥功能。
直到 2017 年初把這個紀錄廢文的部落格從 Logdown 轉到 Openshift 上面去， 2017 年還沒過完，又要花時間去處理這種房租和土地的事情。
大概看了一下 OpenShift Online 新版第三代 的方案
再看一下 Migration Guides 跟 Migrating WordPress to OpenShift Online 3 Paid Tier ，還有整個流程的影片呢
也稍微摸了一下， OpenShift Online 第二代的半殘網頁管理介面連看個 bandwidth usage 都要開 CLI ，第三代的網頁管理介面起碼多出許多選項設定與資源狀態。
只是先不論資料轉移，只論同樣開一個全新的空白 wordpress application，第三代的步驟反而比第二代還繁瑣。
找個寫部落格的系統，靠山，山跑；靠BSP，BSP倒，那改成自己架就鐵飯碗了嗎?
在這次的案例好像也並沒有耶。
我看用 WordPress 應該還是滾回去用一般的虛擬主機就好了。
